“Always wish people well. Even when you let them go. Letting go never meant loving less. It just means you have chosen to love them from afar.”
Is it okay to love someone from afar rather than sacrificing oneself and staying close to that person? It was mother’s day recently and I saw so many posts about the contribution mom makes to a child’s love, but there is another side that needs to be looked upon. People are so lucky to have a mom who truly acts like a mom and the love that the child truly needs from mom. Moms are superheroes who survive a lot to bring a child into this world, but is every mom the same for every child? Does every child receive the love that they deserve from mom? Does every mom stand like a shield for the child? The answer that I will give is that it is okay to love your mom from afar. It is okay if you choose yourself rather than the societal norms about mothers. It is different for every child and mom in terms of the love they show and receive. It is okay if your love for your mom is different from others that you see on the internet. Nobody is wrong, it is the feelings and time that make everything different. If you are loving someone from afar and that makes you happy then it is okay don’t let anyone guilt trip you anyway, you know yourself the best. You are not wrong, you are just choosing yourself over anyone and that is okay because in the end you only have you.
You are lucky if you have a mom who truly deserves the title of best mom in the world. Please give them a hug and appreciate that they have tried everything so that they can hear Happy Mother’s Day from their children. It is not easy to take care of a child and give them the love that they truly deserve and the kids love their mom 9 months more than they love anybody. So all the moms out there, I know it’s hard but you are doing amazing and I hope the sacrifice you make today for your children will be fulfilled by seeing your child grow into a good human being.
Love from afar when needed.
