“Because the possibility of you is better than the reailty of anyone else.” – Josh to Jules.
Yes, yes, yes, I am back with a book review and that too, a romance book. Shocking right? Well, what can I say? I was kind of forced to read, so here I am. Well, I read Twisted Hate, which is book three in the Twisted Series by Ana Huang. At first, I was not interested in reading, but here I am. I might read the last book in the series.
The book follows a cocky, handsome doctor, Josh Chen, and his sister’s best friend, Jules. Jules is studying to pass her bar exam as well as trying to run away from her past. Josh and Jules hate each other. He doesn’t like her attitude, while she can’t stand her crookiness. However, it doesn’t take long for hate to turn into attraction when both decide to not fight their attraction.
Let me start with Jules; I absolutely loved her. Her sassy answers and the way she carries herself were so fun to watch. I am pretty sure she is one of the most interesting characters to read.
Now, let’s talk about Josh. I liked his character and his personality. I find him reasonable throughout the book. I absolutely loved his banter with Jules and his realisation.
The banter was bantering. I liked how engaging the book was. I liked how everything moves at a good speed. With their enemies phase, benefits and their realisation. I liked the slow burn and the phase of their love.
The plot was also good. I felt myself enjoying it. I had a good time reading this book. Though the introduction of Christian Harper really made me want to read Twisted Lies, which I will read eventually.
So, overall, I like this book. The banter, chemistry, plot, and characters. It’s a good one time read for me.
If you want to read a one-time romance, I would recommend this book.
